What you should know
- Before we get started with the course, there are a few things you should know. First, this is an introductory course. The biggest thing I want you to bring is your curiosity. We'll be walking through many core concepts of IAM and how to implement them. My goals for this course are to allow you, the learner, to one, feel comfortable understanding and explaining core IAM concepts like joiner, mover, and lever. And two, feel comfortable implementing it for one of the most popular IAM softwares used today in Okta. Next, this course is designed to take a beginner with relatively minor experience in IAM, let alone cybersecurity and give direction to hopefully pursue a career in IAM. Finally, they're allowed for you to download. You'll use these to set up your own Okta instance and implement everything taught in this course. I feel personally, hands-on is the best way to learn. That's pretty much it. I'm excited to be your instructor and can't wait to teach you IAM's Okta, let's go.
