- [Instructor] Up until now, we've discussed knowledge graphs as a type of graph, but we haven't yet talked much about what they really are. A knowledge graph is a graph where each node in the graph represents a concept such as a person, place, or event. The edges define how those concepts are related. For example, think about what you know about your hometown. You might think about a particular place in that town. Once you think about that place, you might think about your friend who works there. Then you might think about that restaurant in town that you visited with that friend. That, of course, leads you to think about that wonderful dish you ordered there for dinner last time. As you can see, your brain has started linking different things about your hometown together. And what is it that you just created? It's a knowledge graph.
