- [Instructor] In this course so far, we've mostly been using integrated tools to work with VM instances. We've mostly been focusing on the console, which is a great way to learn. We've also used Cloud Shell. You remember this button up here? And the integrated IDE. Now, for many cases, sometimes all cases, you can use the cloud-based tools. However, just to be complete, I want to show you if I do use laptop, or locally-installed tools, how I work with Google Cloud. And I'm going to take the example first. I'm going to use a couple examples here and a couple movies of virtual machines, 'cause it's probably the simplest one to get us started. So you see in my project, I've got three VMs, and one of them is turned on, indicated by the green status mark here.
