Access Gmail on a mobile device
- [Instructor] You can access your Gmail via a mobile device. I'm on an iPad right now. To access your mail, you have two options. You can do it natively in Settings and you can also use the Gmail app. We'll do both. I'll start by tapping Settings on the iPad, scrolling down to Mail, and then choosing Accounts. From here, tap Add Account and then tap Google. Sign in by putting in your Gmail username and password. You do need to give the iPad permission to view and edit all this data from your Google account. I'm going to tap Select all because I'm okay with it reading and looking at my contacts and calendar. I'll scroll down and tap Continue. Now you can decide what aspects of your Google account you want to add to your mobile device. For example, if you also use Google Calendar, you can leave this turned on. Untoggle anything that you don't want to add, such as your contacts.
