From simple clicks to automated processes, mastering these techniques is key to efficient work management. Here we'll explore these methods and show you how to effectively track and manage your work items. Let's get cracking. Let's start by creating a task. We'll then discuss updating it and progressing until closure which could mean completing or canceling the task. We'll briefly touch on deleting a task too. There are different ways to create a task in ServiceNow. Although you can manually create tasks when needed, you can also get the option to have them automatically created based on triggers or events. Some applications have a menu item for creating a new record or task, such as a new incident. Others come with an interceptor where you can choose the type or model, such as a change request.
