Using calculations in conditional formatting

- [Instructor] As its name implies, Conditional Formatting allows you to dynamically apply different formatting attributes to a layout object under various conditions. Conditional Formatting can be applied to field objects, text objects, text-based buttons, that is buttons that are created using the button tool, and it's done by creating a calculation formula that's either going to be true or false. We're seeing this kind of pattern in some of these techniques. So for example, if we go to this customer details layout in our exercise file, we want to apply some formatting to the Due Since field that lets us visually know when terms expire. So if we go into layout mode, and we select the Due Since field, we can go under Format and choose Conditional, or what I always do is right click on it and choose Conditional Formatting.
