Setting and managing expectations with your prospects and your customers in field sales will be critical -- and I mean critical -- -- to helping define if you will be successful or not. And there's a few reasons why. The first is because being able to manage and set expectations properly is one of the first things that defines a professional. And your customers are looking to partner with a professional. The second thing is that this will help you be seen as someone that is credible: credible in the industry, credible in the space, and credible in the area. That credibility is extremely important. Because if I am a client and I know that I can trust you to manage, set those expectations, it will help increase my trust in you. And really setting up proper expectations right from the beginning sets you up to be a trustworthy individual, a trustworthy partner.
