Solution: Create a Solver model
(upbeat music) - [Instructor] In the previous movie, I asked you to create a solver model that would minimize the total number of miles traveled by units for shipping from three warehouses to four stores and you would use the information on distance and shipping numbers here in the worksheet. Here's one way that I would create it. The first thing I would do is fill in the formulas in the gray colored cells here. Specifically, I need to calculate the number of items that are coming out of each warehouse and we need to ensure that we don't exceed the number of units that are available. To create those warehouse sums I will select cells G15 through I15 and then I'll press alt + equal. That creates an auto sum formula, and I always use ones in my changing cells to ensure that my formula adds up.
