Convert CSV data to Excel data
- [Instructor] Some reports you extract out of different systems in your organization might give you reports that look like this. All of this data is stuck in the same column. As you can see, this data is separated by a comma, which is a comma-separated value file, and we want to split this data into different columns, so how do we do that? First, you will want to select this whole column right here by clicking on the A column. We'll go into the Data tab, click on the Text to Columns button under the Data Tools ribbon. Click here, here we go. Then you have two options. In this case, we will select the Delimited option. We will click Next, and then we have to select which delimiter do we have. In our case, we have a comma, and let me show you if I uncheck it, you will see the preview change. I will check again, comma. Here we go, so these are three different columns, and we're going to click Next, and then click on Finish. As you can see, your data is now split into three different…
