- [Instructor] There's no universally-agreed-upon system of font classification, but I'm going to use this simplified version that is used on the Adobe Fonts site, where fonts are divided into these six different groups. Sans Serif, those more simple letters without the adornments of the feet that go on the base of the letters. The Serifs, for a more traditional look, if you like. A variant of that, Slab Serifs, where the feet are much more chunky and solid. Scripts of various different types, formal scripts or informal scripts. Mono, where each letter occupies the same width, so it has a kind of typewriter lo-fi vibe about it. And then the sixth category really is for all of those fonts that don't fit into any of the other five, Hand, Decorative, and everything else.
