    The training is useful for beginners and provides a decent overview of drafting practices. However, it seriously misrepresents GD&T by treating it as avoidable “complexity” and suggesting linear dimensions as a simpler substitute. At various points, the training contradicts ASME Y14.5—for example, linear dimensions apply to the size of features of size (such as hole diameter), while the location of features of size is to be controlled with Position or other geometric tolerances. This guidance discourages proper GD&T use and undermines modern MBD practices, ultimately doing a disservice to learners seeking accurate, industry‑aligned instruction.
