- The title of this course is building organizational awareness. And our final topic is maintaining that organizational awareness over time. Just like your job as a dynamic, ever-changing organism, so is the company you work for. And, just like you can't check the weather on January 1st and know how to dress for the entire year, you can't just read your company's website once and be done. You need to construct a set of habits to stay up to date with news about your organization and industry to make sure you stay current. My recommendation is to create a simple, personalized newsfeed to keep up to date with any happenings at your company. Fortunately, the internet makes this really easy. First, follow your employer on social media. Most organizations today have a presence on one social media site or another. Do a little digging to find out where your company shares its news.
