Using scopes to evaluate colorfulness
- [Instructor] So waveforms in RGB parade show us the brightness values of our image. Vector scopes are used to show us the colorfulness of our image. Let's go to the one-up view and switch this over to the vector scope. And this looks a little bit dim to me. So let's come into our vector scope options and we'll kick up the graticule, so you can see the overlay. And then let's adjust the intensity of the vector scope so it looks pretty good. I also like turning on extents on vector scopes because oftentimes you, you get these random little pixels that can shoot way outside of where we want it to. And so what this shows us is the outer bounds of the pixels to make sure we don't have any straight pixels going way brighter than we think they're going. They don't really show up on the trace here. We also have the ability to only show the low, the mids and the highlights of our vector scope. This is really useful. If you…
