- When you're doing color correction, that usually means you're at the very end of the process. It also means you're frequently pressed into service to lay back the final mixes. Now they can be a very simple stereo lay back so that they can hear the mix with your color grids. Sometimes, it can be a surround mix. You might have six or eight or ten audio tracks that have very specific track assignments for the final render.
