Create a taxonomy or data catalog

Create a taxonomy or data catalog

- [Instructor] I would now like to explain four important steps in a knowledge graph project. The first step is to build a taxonomy of your company's terms For this, you can start from scratch, or you can take an existing vocabulary as the starting point. There are already industry specific taxonomies and ontologies available. The PoolParty Vocabulary Hub shows different domains. For example, if we go to financial services, we see taxonomies and ontologies for banks and financial institution. If we look at knowledge models for e-commerce and search engine optimization, we find, for example, the Google product taxonomy, this taxonomy contains over 5,000 concepts and we can look into it and for example, look for sporting goods. Then we have water sports and we have products for rafting. You can apply this Google product taxonomy to enhance the search for your e-commerce website.
