Using schedules to understand design information
- [Tutor] My favorite way to export information out of the Revit environment so they can go into other software programs, such as Excel or other third-party software programs is to create a schedule. And then export that schedule out so that that information can then be used inside of that software program. To create just a basic schedule, this is the process that I usually go about doing. You can either in your project browser, scroll down the Schedules, right-click, and then select the kind of schedule that you want to export out. Or you can go to the View tab on the ribbon, come over to the Schedules. And this is the same list that we had underneath the project browser. And in this case, I'm just going to select on Schedule Quantities. The kind of schedule that I want to create will be a room schedule.
