- As you know, the security triad is CIA: confidentiality, integrity, and availability. So in this lesson, we're going to look at some risk considerations of availability first. Business Continuity or continuity of operations is all about ensuring that the organization can continue to operate after a severe disruption. It involves planning and preparing to maintain essential functions and quickly recover to a certain level from emergencies. It doesn't mean complete recovery and remediation, but an acceptable level. The goal is to minimize downtime and protect critical operations, assets, and people, our stakeholders. So here's our business continuity map. So everything under BCP or continuity of operation would be, first, our business impact analysis. Then, our DRP, disaster recovery planning. We also have our backup and restore policy.
