- So the way we present or curate information has a huge impact on how we digest it because we're all distracted by far more information than ever before. And because we're all being asked to do more and more, and because we work so much with data that can take the meaning and emotion out of our work, we are busier than ever. And it makes us more stressed because our jobs have changed and world events and market disruptions keep throwing things in our way. So most teams at work suffer from information obesity. And if all that we do is add to that via lots and lots of PowerPoint slides or graphics or data, we might be blunting our hive mind rather than sharpening it. What's rare, and in fact, what's needed is true focus, time to focus on the right information with quality attention so that we can allow for deep understanding.
