- Airtime: Guarantee Equal Participation. Even if you have the best team of people and you've each prepared the best inspiration for your meeting, we do have to be careful that we make sure we hear from everybody equally. Let's be honest, some people are far more extroverted or confident than other people. Some people are far more senior, and they can really dominate the discussion, and that might leave no time for anybody else to be heard. For creating a thriving hive mind, we need to really make sure that we manage these people to make sure that we give everybody equal airtime. There's no point in having lots of different perspectives in the room if we only get to hear from one person, right? So think about a recent team that you were in when somebody dominated all the airtime to the extent where other people felt unable to contribute. Did you feel in the moment that you had ideas and opinions to share, but you couldn't share them? Or did it feel like maybe the less confident people…
