- Diversified teams achieve project success. The more similar people are to each other, the better they work together, right? Actually, no. Research has proved that the more diverse your team, whether that's in background, ethnicity, gender, or role, the better the decisions the team takes. I will explain to you why. Before I do, I'd like you to think about a really great high performing team that you've been in. It could be a recent team who did great work together, or it could be a project in the past that you still remember really well, or even a team you were in at school or college if you don't have any recent examples. What made that experience of that team so great? Usually, there was some sort of a pressure or challenge that forced us all to work together well. And usually, by the end of the project, you all knew each other's strengths and foibles really well.
