Let's begin with our most obvious control, our most obvious security control in the enterprise, and that's the Next Generation Firewall. So I'll just put NGFW up here, Next Gen. Firewall. So here's the Internet or our public network of whatever we're using. Maybe it's a wide area network, metropolitan area network. This is our service provider. also called an ISP or an ITSP, because often they're also helping us with our voice over IP solution. So then we are going to have whatever our customer premises equipment is, okay? So maybe this is a high-end Cisco aggregate services router. So this is our customer premises equipment, and then we're going to have what's called our firewall solution, which can be a wide variety of different things. Remember the firewall has the goal of preventing fires from spreading, okay? The firewall does not prevent a fire from starting.
