- Let's talk about options for managing incoming traffic. For a long time, Ingress has been the solution to manage incoming traffic. And recently Ingress has gone into a feature freeze and it'll be replaced by Gateway API. Currently, Ingress is still in the exam objectives, but this is expected to be replaced with Gateway API in the future. And for that reason, in this lesson, you'll learn about both. I would recommend that you check the current version of the CKAD objectives. If you Google CKAD objectives, you should find them, and check if you need to know about Ingress, about Gateway API, or about both. If you want to practice this one warning, do not configure Ingress and Gateway API on the same machine because they are most likely going to bite one another.
