Let's start with a striking statistic from Checkmarx's recent AppSec report. 80% of the security professionals are worried about security threats stemming from AI code generation. This isn't surprising, is it? When developers can generate entire functions with a simple script, we have to ask, "Who's validating this code? Are we introducing new vulnerabilities? How do we maintain control over our code?" But here's the flip side, and it's significant. The same report tells us that 31% of the security professionals believe AI will help both security teams and developers remediate issues faster.
