Managing groups
- When we create groups with PowerShell it becomes necessary to explain what each of these different types of groups do. So let's start with the group category. We have a couple of options. We have security groups and we have distribution groups. Security groups are for assigning permissions to various different groups of people, such as going into a shared folder. You go to the security tab, you go to the share tab, and you can add in groups of people. Now of course you can add in individuals, but that's not very efficient. You want to add and remove groups as necessary and then you can add and remove users from those groups in active directory. Let's take for example, you have 20 shared folders and you have 10 people each that need access to those shared folders.
