Monitoring BigQuery usage

- [Instructor] If you are a BigQuery administrator, it is important to keep an eye on how exactly the service is used and whether there is any scope for optimizations. In order to monitor BigQuery resources we can head over to the Google Cloud Platform menu, and then head over to monitoring. This is a service which allows us, among other things, to create visuals and then compile them into dashboards where the visuals will convey various metrics related to the usage of BigQuery. For now, we start off with the overview. And when we scroll along from here, you'll observe that there is already a prebuilt dashboard for BigQuery. In fact, preconfigured dashboards are also available for other GCP services, such as VMs, firewalls, and so on. You can see that there is also the option to create a new dashboard from here.
