This role sits at the core of ensuring seamless, reliable, and secure IT operations for modern practice environments within a rapidly evolving digital healthcare ecosystem. You will act as the frontline technical expert responsible for maintaining and optimizing the systems that support daily clinical and operational workflows. The position combines hands-on technical troubleshooting with proactive system monitoring, automation, and documentation to improve long-term stability and efficiency. You will work closely with internal support teams to ensure smooth deployment, configuration, and support of IT infrastructure across customer practices. This is a highly collaborative and mission-driven environment where reliability, responsiveness, and technical precision directly impact end users. The role also involves contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting innovation in practice IT operations.

Accountabilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, software, and peripheral systems supporting practice operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across networks, servers, workstations, and cloud-based systems
  • Monitor system performance to ensure high availability, reliability, and security of IT environments
  • Provide L2 technical support to end users, including remote troubleshooting and incident resolution
  • Develop and maintain clear technical documentation to support provisioning, troubleshooting, and internal knowledge sharing
  • Participate in IT projects, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to automation efforts that streamline IT processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Stay current with emerging IT technologies, tools, and best practices
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours technical support and incident response

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related technical role
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLANs
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Google Workspace environments
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows operating systems and hardware troubleshooting
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
  • Preferred: experience in dental or healthcare IT environments
  • Preferred: certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MCP
  • Preferred: exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Preferred: familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and automation tools such as Zapier or BetterCloud
  • Preferred: understanding of ITIL principles and IT service management practices
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Preferred: experience supporting distributed or international users across multiple regions
