Senior Creative (Freelance)

Overview
The Freelance Senior Creative is a hands-on storyteller and concept leader responsible for developing and executing social-led ideas for brand campaigns. You’ll translate cultural and platform trends into distinctive creative platforms, partner with cross-functional teams, and guide work from initial insight through final asset delivery.
Responsibilities
Concept & Campaign Development
Lead ideation for social-first and integrated campaigns across multiple brands.
Translate briefs into clear creative territories, concepts, and executional ideas.
Develop content approaches tailored to each platform (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, emerging channels).
Creative Strategy
Use audience, cultural, and platform insights to shape creative direction.
Partner with strategy teams to turn data and social listening into actionable ideas.
Clearly articulate the strategic rationale behind concepts in client-friendly language.
Content Creation & Production
Oversee development of video, static, and mixed-media social content.
Provide direction to designers, editors, and production partners to maintain creative integrity.
Contribute as a maker when needed (e.g., light editing, scripting, storyboarding, basic design).
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Build and present concept decks that communicate ideas clearly and visually.
Lead or co-lead client presentations and internal reviews.
Incorporate feedback while protecting the core idea and campaign objectives.
Collaboration & Mentorship
Partner closely with account, strategy, and production teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Guide junior creatives, offering feedback that raises overall quality.
Help establish and uphold creative standards, templates, and best practices.
Creator & Influencer Integration
Develop clear creative briefs for creators and influencers.
Review creator content to ensure alignment with brand and campaign goals.
Advocate for creator-led ideas where they can enhance authenticity and performance.
Day-to-Day Activities
Lead multiple workstreams from concept through delivery across several accounts.
Create and refine presentation materials in Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Keynote.
Manage shifting priorities and tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Stay current on platform updates, cultural moments, and content trends to inform work.
Support new business pitches and proactive concepting as needed.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in a creative role (agency, brand, publisher, or production environment), with a focus on social and digital content.
Portfolio: Demonstrated track record of:
Social-first brand campaigns.
Creator/influencer-driven work.
Multi-platform content (paid and organic).
Skills & Tools:
Fluency in social platforms, formats, and community behaviors.
Strong presentation and storytelling skills for client-facing work.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and standard presentation tools.
Mindset:
