Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and other techniques.
- Ensure data integrity and implement best practices for database security and backup.
- Collaborate with application developers to integrate databases with business applications.
- Develop ETL processes to import/export data between systems.
- Create and maintain documentation related to database architecture and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a SQL Server Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL and SQL Server tools (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS).
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with cloud-based SQL services (e.g., Azure SQL Database).
- Knowledge of other database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
