Skills Required:

• Experience within financial services or management consulting environments supporting retirement, wealth management, employee benefits, investment management or institutional financial services organizations.

• Strong ability to promote, champion change; start with ‘yes’

• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy

• Strong soft skills and judgement; understands that leadership and people skills are critical success factors

• Demonstrated ability to be disciplined and flexible at the same time

• Strong Project/Program Management Financial Acumen ability

• Ability to communicate the need for change, its purpose, and it’s expected impact to stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure understanding and buy-in

• Ability to understand and articulate what is critical and what is noise; keeps team focused on the priorities

• Demonstrated ability to drive simplified solutions to complex problems to enable positive outcomes

• Demonstrated success of building partnerships and alliances across the enterprise and at all levels

• Demonstrates decisive decision-making orientation; ability to make timely, well-reasoned decisions that balance the needs of all

• Ability to Influence and inspire without control; self-aware; applies good judgement; leads with passion; strong team building skills; sets positive tone; easy to get along with and at the same time commands respect; demonstrates courage

• Critical thinker with proven track record of effectively leading execution and value through highly matrixed teams

• Comfortable under pressure with the ability to manage to tight deadlines while maintaining quality and managing to an acceptable level of risk

• Effectively, clearly and concisely communicate in all methods (verbal, written, presentation) to all levels of the organization

• Continuous learner; quickly adapt to changing environment and personalities

• Expert understanding of project management or portfolio management principles

• Demonstrated ability and experience (5+ years) managing large and/or significant projects or medium to large programs (typically $8M-$15M)

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree, or related field or equivalent work experience required
