To assist Product Development/Design and CAD Manager in developing CAD/RP capabilities for Harry Winston internal and external manufacturing.
Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
CAD Modelling:
Utilizing 3D Modelling software in creating 3D CAD models, facilitate printing of 3D models via rapid prototyping technology. Gather jeweler and setter feedback to ensure new products and components meet functional and aesthetic objectives
Collaborate with Design/Product Development with technical details providing functional models while maintaining Harry Winston Aesthetic
Create blueprints and engineering renderings for parts and components as needed
Maintain Master files of Harry Winston in all applicable formats and share with vendors as needed
Job Qualifications
Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing, understanding of the model making process, casting shrinkage factors, setting, etc.
5-10 Years’ of Jewelry Experience required
Mechanical engineering experience a plus but not required
Jewelry mechanism knowledge
Proficiency in the use of 3D modeling software (Rhino, Matrix, Magics, etc.)
Ability to interpret 2D renderings in 3D format
Experience with Rapid Prototyping equipment
Accurate and attentive to details, ability to work independently and in teams
Strong organizational skills
Good communication skills
