JOB OVERVIEW

Insight Global is seeking a Construction Software Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support a large construction technology client. This role is focused on top-of-funnel sales activities, including outbound prospecting, cold calling, and qualifying potential customers across the United States. As an SDR, you will be responsible for initiating conversations with prospective customers, educating them on innovative digital road condition assessment solutions, and setting high-quality meetings for the sales and project teams. You will play a key role in preparing for meetings, researching accounts, understanding customer pain points, and ensuring smooth handoffs to senior sales or project stakeholders. In some cases, you may co-host or lead introductory meetings or product overviews alongside internal partners. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including cross-functional partners in Germany, to align messaging, share market feedback, and support overall sales efforts. This role reports to the local Business Manager and works closely with a Senior Project Manager to support early-stage sales engagement and pipeline growth.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting and cold calling to identify and engage potential customers
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess fit, interest, and readiness
  • Set meetings and demos for senior sales, business, or project stakeholders
  • Prepare thoroughly for meetings by researching accounts, contacts, and use cases
  • Support or host introductory discovery calls and early-stage meetings as needed
  • Maintain accurate activity tracking and lead notes in HubSpot CRM
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and strong customer experience
  • Provide feedback from prospects to support sales strategy and product positioning


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1–2 years of sales experience
  • Ideally in software, technology, or B2B services
  • Strong comfort with cold calling, outbound outreach, and objection handling
  • Familiarity with sales funnels, lead generation, and lead qualification
  • Experience using CRM and sales automation tools (HubSpot preferred)
  • Strong communication, organization, and meeting preparation skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Driven, proactive, and coachable with a team-first mindset
