DEPARTMENT: Membership Sales
REPORTS TO: Manager, Membership & Inside Sales
STATUS: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Your role as a Representative, Inside Sales:
You will be primarily responsible for making outbound phone calls to fans and local businesses while using keen customer service skills in an effort to set up customer appointments at Petco Park to reach sales goals.

Per the California pay transparency law, the base hourly rate for this full-time position is $21.14. This position is also eligible for a commission plan, if goals are achieved. As a candidate for this position, your pay and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, job-related skills and any other factors the San Diego Padres considers relevant to the hiring decision for this position.
In addition to the base pay, the Padres believe in providing a very competitive and generous compensation and benefits package for its employees. Your role as a Representative, Inside Sales:
You will be primarily responsible for making outbound phone calls to fans and local businesses while using keen customer service skills in an effort to set up customer appointments at Petco Park to reach sales goals.
All the responsibilities we will trust you with:
- Reports daily to the Manager, Inside Sales
- Makes 75+ telephone sales calls per shift from provided lead lists and active prospecting to set up face to face appointments at Petco Park
- Provides top-notch customer service to callers from our main ticket line as well as maximizes sales from this source
- Utilizes CRM for contact management, sales pipeline tracking and ensure all record keeping is timely and accurate
- Represents the Padres in the most positive way on game days when interacting with clients and prospects at Padres sales tables or at their seats
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Inside Sales
- Represent a strong desire to start a career with a team that has ample opportunity for growth
- Must possess a strong commitment to the sports industry, a passion for sales, a strong work ethic, competitiveness, a positive team first attitude, and a thirst to learn
- Be a self-starter and be comfortable making cold calls
- Proficient computer skills including experience with MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., and general knowledge of basic office equipment including copier, laser printer, telephone, and computer
- Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and effectively work well with others in a collaborative, respectful manner
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with capacity to handle high volumes of detailed work, multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlines
- Maintain professional demeanor with a high degree of discretion, integrity, and accountability
- Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance
- Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment
- 4-year Bachelor’s Degree, or education equivalent
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed
- Fluently bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Able to travel as needed
- Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time during games and events; able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds
- As a condition of employment, you must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check
