KR Wolfe is a nationally recognized leader in technology integration, installation, and specialty construction services. We support healthcare, government, education, and commercial clients nationwide with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Our people are the foundation of our success.
The Regional Manager is a leadership position that owns the full people management, day-to-day scheduling, and operational execution of KR Wolfe’s Elite Field Force within one defined region. This role is fully accountable for building, leading, and optimizing a high-performance regional team that delivers “Talent that Works for You” with maximum 10-hour drive radius, superior utilization, reduced travel, and consistent quality/safety.
Reporting directly to a Field Director, the Regional Manager serves as the primary people manager for all Field Supervisors, Leads, and Technicians assigned to their region (West, North East, South East, South Central, or North Central). While Project Managers own project scope, estimates, and client delivery, the Regional Manager owns the “Sudoku puzzle” of field staffing—assigning the right talent (skill level, certification, availability, and cost) to every job within the region.
The role is 50% job-costed, meaning the Regional Manager remains hands-on in the field while leading the team; this position is not expected to require overtime. Regional Managers will also absorb Stryker in-house account workload and join weekly Stryker calls.
This role is the cornerstone of the Elite Field Force vision: regional ownership, peer accountability, rapid skill progression, and local talent that dominates each market while maintaining low to no impact on technicians and clients.
Own the daily scheduling puzzle and make all “Fully Scheduled” assignments for the region using skill levels, certifications, availability, and budget constraints
Deploy Field Supervisors, Leads, and Technicians across all divisions while balancing competing project demands and cross-division flexibility
Drive utilization targets by level and contribute data to the company-wide utilization dashboard
Manage regional demand forecasting, skill-gap analysis, and territory balancing
Own all tools, equipment, fleet, inventory, and storage within the region; capture excess material at job close-out and repurpose for cost savings
Execute the Stryker workload for in-house accounts
Field Leadership, Performance & Talent Development
Directly manage, coach, and develop all Field Supervisors, Leads, and Technicians in the region
Hold the entire regional team strictly accountable for performance against the six core team KPIs:
Daily reporting (Notes & Pictures)
Training completion
Timecards (accurate/daily)
Expenses (accurate/daily)
Safety (zero issues)
Quality: No return trips or negative report cards from clients regarding quality
5+ years of progressive experience in field operations, workforce management, or project-based environments
Proven success leading and developing field teams (technicians and supervisors) in geographically dispersed settings
Strong experience in scheduling, resource allocation, and utilization management
Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and decision-making skills
Ability to travel within the assigned region and job-site presence as needed
Demonstrated ability to manage through change while maintaining low/no impact on frontline teams and clients
Must be within commuting distance of the location listed.
Preferred
Direct knowledge of KR Wolfe operations, client requirements (especially Stryker, HCR, and healthcare renovation), and the current field team
Experience in construction, engineering services, telecom, IT services, or similar field-based industries
Prior success managing supervisors or high-performing technical teams
Familiarity with workforce management or scheduling systems (QuickBase and Salesforce experience strongly preferred)
Strong analytical skills and comfort using data, dashboards, and regional metrics to drive decisions
This role is critical to the success of the Elite Field Force launch on June 1, 2026, and the long-term dominance of KR Wolfe as the premier national talent provider in our industry.
The Regional Manager must live the guiding principles: Think nationally, act regionally. Set people up for success. Peer accountability > top-down. Data-driven decisions. Client-first quality with operational efficiency.
