Overview

We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in the Greater Phoenix area seeking a Quality Engineer with strong experience in precision machining and quality systems. This role will play a key part in ensuring product conformity, driving process improvements, and supporting compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing and inspection plans to ensure product quality and compliance
• Perform inspections using mechanical instruments, CMMs, functional gauges, and test equipment
• Support internal teams, customers, and suppliers with technical quality-related guidance
• Assist in process control initiatives including SPC, Gage R&R, FMEA, and root cause analysis
• Generate and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and test data records
• Lead or support corrective and preventative action efforts (CAPA)
• Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 4+ years of quality engineering or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
• Aerospace or semiconductor industry experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) and ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Experience with CMMs, SPC, Gage R&R, and root cause analysis tools
• Familiarity with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems
• Working knowledge of machining and special processes (heat treat, plating, welding, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-driven environment

Compensation

• $90,000 – $110,000 base salary
