Product Development Assistant

PAIGE is looking for a Product Development JR. Assistant who is enthusiastic about Production. This position requires 0-1+ years of experience in production. We are looking for someone who can add support to the Product Development team. Candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude who can thrive and take initiative in a fast-paced work environment. Highly organized, strong and clear communication skills and detail oriented.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and follow up on testing processes for women’s and men’s mainline, specials and off-price. i.e.: have samples made to send to T&T; follow up with outside testing facility; maintain log; inform and work with appropriate internal departments based on results.
• Tear & Tensile and seam strength testing for seasonal lines where necessary
• Crocking test
• Care testing
• Trim/ embroidery/embellishment care testing i.e. review care options/suggestions with Trim Buyer, PD Manager and possibly head of Production where necessary, prior to testing
• Maintain and organize test samples by division and season
• Provide correct care codes to style set up team after care has been established
• Receive sample fabric and create swatch cards
• Organize and maintain fabric binders
• Communicate with cross functional teams as well as outside testing facility and Mexico factory team
• Maintain sample logs, tracking charts

Other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

• College degree in Fashion
• Computer literate with a strong emphasis on Excel
• Detail oriented, solution-oriented team-player
• Great communication skills
