This role provides support to The People Office, accounting, finance and operations teams and reports to the firm’s Controller.

This role provides support to The People Office, accounting, finance and operations teams and reports to the firm’s Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the Payroll process end to end including off-cycle processing for bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll
- Manage payroll files and other record keeping items; process, post and edit new hires
- Provide assistance with troubleshooting and resolving employee pay questions/discrepancies
- Upload payroll journal entries and ensure that General Ledger coding is accurate
- Account reconciliation for payroll processed deductions
- Reviewing and processing of State Tax payments
- State registrations for payroll tax accounts
- Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
- Analyze current workflow processes and offer up improvement suggestions
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in multi-state Payroll role
- Ideally, competency working with UKG payroll system, PlanSource, and NetSuite.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good listening and communication skills
- Willing to grow and take on additional responsibilities when needed and support other team members
