The Role

This is a hands-on Operations Manager role at the center of our branch. You’ll own the operational engine—driving invoicing, managing an account management team, and ensuring work flows from quote to cash without bottlenecks.

This is not a passive management role. You’ll be expected to jump in, solve problems, and keep the team moving in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.


What You’ll Be Doing


Own the Invoicing Process (QuickBooks)

  • Take full ownership of billing and invoicing through QuickBooks
  • Ensure all completed work is invoiced accurately and on time
  • Manage pending invoices from internal systems and push them through to completion
  • Resolve discrepancies and ensure clean, accurate financial data

Lead & Manage the Account Management Team

  • Oversee a team of Account Managers
  • Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable to daily, weekly, and monthly goals
  • Step in when needed—whether it’s helping with quotes, customer follow-up, or workload balancing

Drive Operational Performance

  • Track and report on key metrics such as:
  • PM attainment
  • Quote turnaround times
  • Work order flow and completion
  • Ensure work doesn’t pile up at month-end—keep operations moving in real time
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements

Support Customer & Revenue Growth

  • Partner with Account Managers to ensure strong customer communication and follow-up
  • Assist in managing customer accounts and, at times, own a small book of business
  • Help drive quote conversion and overall branch performance

Be the “Get It Done” Leader

  • Step outside your role when needed—this is a team-first environment
  • Maintain urgency, especially when timelines are tight or volume is high
  • Balance being a supportive leader with holding the team accountable



What We’re Looking For


Must-Haves

  • Strong, hands-on QuickBooks experience (invoicing required)
  • 5+ years in operations, field service, or a similar environment
  • 2+ years of leadership experience (direct reports)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously

Preferred Backgrounds

  • Field service, generator, HVAC, electrical, construction, or mechanical industries
  • Experience managing customer accounts or a book of business
  • Familiarity with CRM or service platforms (Salesforce or similar)
