Network Engineer

Position: Network Engineer

Compensation: $130,000 - $140,000 

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Network Engineer to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to join a dynamic team in a challenging and rewarding environment. The role is a direct hire position, focused on supporting and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring network security, availability, and performance while contributing to project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Support and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure
• Manage and configure Cisco routers and switches
• Implement and support Cisco SD-WAN
• Assess and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls
• Support field communications and data center environments
• Ensure network security and performance
• Assist with network design and optimization
• Contribute to project planning and execution
• Support Azure networking and Microsoft Teams Calling

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of networking experience
• Strong routing knowledge (OSPF, EIGRP)
• Cisco environment experience: 
  
  • Routers & switches (Catalyst + Nexus/data center experience preferred)
  • Cisco SD-WAN (configuration experience, not just support)
• Strong networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, routing, protocols)
• Data center networking experience 
• Palo Alto firewalls (ability to assess, troubleshoot, and fix misconfigurations)
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto environments
• Experience with SD-WAN implementation
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
• Experience in enterprise environments
• Starlink experience (not critical, but helpful)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Oil & Gas industry experience
• SCADA / field communications exposure
• Azure networking experience
• Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Azure)
