Division Controller

Division Controller - Up to $200k + 15%

Our client is looking to hire a Division Controller to lead the finance function for a manufacturing division of their publicly traded parent company. This is a highly visible role, serving as the key Accounting & Finance leader on-site, overseeing a team of four, and partnering closely with senior leadership to drive performance. The division is near full SOX compliance and requires a leader with strong SOX knowledge to maintain and enhance compliance standards while driving operational and financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the strategic financial partner to division leadership, providing insights and recommendations to drive profitable growth.
• Lead all aspects of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and company financial policies.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including Accounts Payable, Credit/Collections, and Inventory/Cost Accounting.
• Guide cost reduction initiatives and monitor variable overhead to improve operating income.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure business decisions align with financial objectives.
• Develop, mentor, and retain top finance talent to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years in financial reporting, operational accounting, and cost management.
• 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role with direct people management.
• Strong SOX compliance experience required.
• Manufacturing industry and plant controller experience preferred.
