About the Company: Theranica is a neuromodulation therapeutics company redefining the standard of care for idiopathic pain disorders through its Remote Electrical Neuromodulation (REN) technology, a mechanism-led, precision approach that selectively activates the body’s endogenous pain-inhibitory system via Conditioned Pain Modulation (CPM). As we establish this new frontier in migraine and complex pain treatment, we are seeking a hands-on Director of Operations to lead and scale our US operational engine. This is a high-ownership, execution-focused role requiring deep involvement in day-to-day operational workflows.
About the Role: In this leadership role, you will own the entire lifecycle of our product delivery, from the moment a prescription is written to the final billing cycle and claim reconciliation. You will sit at the nerve center of our organization, bridging the gap between Sales, Finance, and Market Access to ensure that every patient receives the life-changing therapy they need without friction. If you thrive in fast-paced environments where data-driven decisions meet empathetic patient care, you belong here.
Responsibilities:
The Patient Journey Architect: Own the end-to-end "Prescription to Fulfillment" workflow. You will lead intake entities (internal/external), manage specialty pharmacy relationships, and optimize VA and DME distribution channels.
RCM & Revenue Optimization: Lead the strategy for Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), including medical benefit billing, Prior Authorizations (PA), clinical notes, claim submissions, appeals and reconciliations.
Supply Chain Excellence: Oversee US logistics, inventory controls, and partner (distributor and specialty pharmacy) relationships to ensure stock levels remain optimized during rapid demand fluctuations.
Customer Excellence: Oversee the busy USA customer care center, providing timely support and technical troubleshooting to user inquiries.
Qualifications:
10+ years of leadership in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) distribution, distributors contracting and medical benefit claims submission functionality. Experience in Pharmacy benefit operations is an advantage.
DME Experience: Deep expertise in managing intake and fulfillment operations specifically under medical benefit structures and DME distribution models, including clinic-based Stock and Bill operating structures.
Technical Skills: Experience in Salesforce (CRM), ERP systems, and some specialized DME platforms like Parachute are an advantage.
Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to define and track KPIs like prescription conversion rates and fulfillment timelines to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborative Influencer: Proven ability to work across departments (Market Access, Finance, Sales) to resolve complex "who-owns-what" operational overlaps.
(An advantage) Regulatory Navigator: In-depth knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing, HIPAA compliance, and industry-standard quality assurance.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related technical field is required.
MBA or Master’s Degree is highly preferred and viewed as a differentiator for this leadership role.
