Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Copywriter to develop, edit, and maintain user manuals and product documentation. This role is ideal for someone who excels at translating complex information into clear, user-friendly content that enhances the customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Review, Re-write, edit, and proofread user manuals, instruction guides, and supporting documentation
Translating manuals to multilingual as needed
Translate technical concepts into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand language
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to gather information
Ensure consistency in tone, style, and terminology across all documentation
Organize and structure content for usability and accessibility
Update existing manuals to reflect product changes and improvements
Develop visual aids (charts, diagrams, screenshots) in partnership with design teams when needed
Maintain documentation standards and style guides
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3-5 yrs of experience in copywriting, technical writing, or documentation development
Strong attention to detail and ability to simplify complex information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Confluence, MadCap Flare, or similar)
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience writing user manuals or product documentation
Background in electronics a plus
Basic understanding of UX writing principles
Experience with visual documentation tools or basic graphic editing

NY Pay Transparency:
The pay range for this position is ($60,000 - $65,000) annually based on skills and experience.
