Job Profile:Assistant Professor Position Summary: The Department of

Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications

for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology in health sciences.

This is a full-time, 9-month, position beginning in August of 2026. The

ideal candidate will have a background in anatomy or physiology, with

laboratory experience, and the ability to teach courses such as Human

Anatomy & Physiology, Human Gross Anatomy, or other advanced biology

courses. We seek a candidate who is highly motivated, collegial, and

passionate about undergraduate education, with a commitment to mentoring

package. Key Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have a

demonstrated competency teaching multiple existing courses (e.g., Human

Anatomy & Physiology, Human Gross Anatomy, Unity of Life) and the

capacity to develop and teach courses within their area of expertise.

The typical teaching load is 12 credits per semester. Engagement in

evidence-informed pedagogy to teach undergraduate students in classroom

And Laboratory Settings. Additional Responsibilities Include Serving As

student academic advisor, providing career advising/mentorship to

pre-healthcare students, actively participating in

research/scholarship/professional activities, engaging in service to the

Doctorate or terminal degree (PhD, MD, DO, DC, DPT, etc.) in anatomy or

physiology, biology, or closely related field. An ABD (all but

dissertation), if hired, will be contractually obligated to have earned
