WOW, NYSE just issued a "regulatory memo" reminding participants that it is inconsistent with its rules to be "engaging in a pattern or practice of submitting partial message packets for the purpose of seeking to reduce latency". https://lnkd.in/ejDPCw3i So it is possible that Exchanges apply their rules (may be they have supervisory authorities doing their job). Eurex, we did not get your answer on "Custom PCS Patterns". These are shortened packets violating your own rules and regulators must order the immediate prohibition of the practice.

There is a Hidden Cost of Renting Your Digital Foundation. A colleague of mine builds enterprise-grade infrastructure for local businesses. Not shared hosting. Not a WordPress one-click install on a rented server. actual infrastructure with dedicated hardware, custom configurations, a stack the business owns outright. Imran Cooper runs Amanuensis. His clients are businesses that have decided they're done renting their digital foundation from platforms that monetize their data and build price increases into the business model. Here is why this comes up in my work. I work with business owners every day on financial clarity; where money is going, what it's producing, and what the income statement actually looks like at the end of the year. One pattern shows up constantly: the gradual accumulation of SaaS costs that no one budgeted as a line item. Twelve dollars here. Forty-nine there. Eighty-nine somewhere else. By end of month, it's a meaningful infrastructure spend with no ownership stake at the end of it. That matters because renting your technology stack means your costs go up with your success, and you own nothing when you arrive. The comparison looks very different at 24 months than it does at month one. Upfront infrastructure investment can feel heavy. Monthly subscriptions feel manageable — until you add them up and realize you've spent the equivalent of ownership costs with nothing to show for it on the asset side. This calculus is especially relevant for businesses that handle sensitive customer data, financial records, and depend on uptime as a core operational requirement. Scaling based on per-seat or usage-based pricing is increasingly more expensive. The same discipline that makes your books lender-ready applies to how you structure your operating costs. Knowing what you own, what you rent, and what each is actually costing you is not a technology question, it's a financial clarity question. If you've never had a real comparison done, what you're currently spending on rented infrastructure vs. what ownership would cost may be worth an hour of your time. I'm not suggesting it's the right move for every business. But for those that may be a fit, take time to run the numbers side by side. Impersonation and clone-firm activity remains one of the most common threat vectors we see across financial services - especially in Crypto. I’d encourage anyone operating in this space to stay vigilant and make use of official verification routes if something doesn’t look right.
