Attended a great session yesterday Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), Cloud Native London that touched on two critical themes shaping cloud and AI today: #sovereignty and #security. On one hand, we saw how solutions are addressing the rising demand for: 1. AI inference and training workloads at scale 2. Sovereign multi-cloud deployments across Europe 3. Managed Kubernetes platforms tailored for enterprises The takeaway was clear - AI must be sovereign, compliant, and scalable to meet the needs of modern enterprises. On the other hand, security remains front and centre. The OWASP® Foundation Top 10 was a timely reminder, with Broken Access Control ranked as the #1 most critical risk for web apps. It’s a good reminder that while we build sovereign AI and multi-cloud systems, robust security practices are not optional - they’re foundational. Exciting to see these conversations happening in the same room. The future of AI and cloud is not just about performance, but about trust, control, and resilience. 🧠 Kubernetes Architecture — Simplified Kubernetes may look complex at first, but at its core, it’s just a well-coordinated control system. Here’s how things actually work 👇 🔹 Control Plane This is the brain of the cluster. API Server → Entry point for all requests etcd → Stores the cluster state Scheduler → Decides where Pods should run Controller Manager → Keeps the desired state in sync 🔹 Worker Nodes This is where your applications run. Kubelet → Talks to the control plane Kube Proxy → Handles networking Pods → Run your containers using CRI 🔹 kubectl & Cloud Provider kubectl communicates with the API Server Cloud Controller integrates Kubernetes with cloud services 💡 Simple idea: You tell Kubernetes what you want. Kubernetes figures out how to make it happen and keeps it that way. That’s the power of Kubernetes architecture. #Kubernetes #DevOps #CloudNative #Containers #K8s #PlatformEngineering #CloudComputing

This section of the article really stuck out to me: "The generated code often required substantial manual intervention. Performance problems emerged. Maintenance became a nightmare when generated code diverged from the visual models. Most critically, drawing accurate diagrams required understanding the same logical complexity that programming demanded. The tool changed the interface but not the fundamental challenge." That excerpt is talking about CASE Tools from the 1980s. But doesn't that sound like commentary that could be made about today's AI innovations? This is an example of why I focus on helping developers be more efficient. Developers need more time to reason through the logical complexity that arises from human beings and the many permutations of activity they create.

UK software platform inforcer has raised $35 million in Series B funding to power Managed Service Providers (MSPs) in Microsoft security and AI. Inforcer enables MSPs and Microsoft Partners to seamlessly implement, configure, and manage Microsoft products across their small and medium-sized business customers. The platform simplifies configuration, compliance, and AI deployment across Microsoft 365 tenants, solving complexity for partners serving a market of 350M users and unlocking the business case for them to service the Microsoft security and AI stack. The Series B round was led by Dawn Capital, with participation from existing investors Meritech Capital. The capital will be used to build on the company's impressive traction and expand its MSP community in 2025. Congratulations to co-founder and CEO Jamie Daum and the Inforcer team. 🔒 Secure File Transfers in GCP — No More DIY 🔒 Most teams migrating from AWS to GCP are surprised to learn there’s no Transfer Family equivalent out of the box. Digital Turbine hit the same wall — until they switched to SFTP Gateway. Here’s what changed 👇 ✔️ Deployable directly from GCP Marketplace ✔️ Works with strict firewall + VPN configurations ✔️ Handles SOX compliance patching cleanly ✔️ Survives automated updates without breaking ✔️ Fully supported — zero DIY headaches No more homegrown SFTP servers. No more late-night patching. No more security guesswork. If you’re modernizing SFTP in Google Cloud, we’ll help you do it right. #GoogleCloud #GCP #SFTP #CloudSecurity #DataInfrastructure #DevOps #MFT #ThornTech

Kubernetes is running your critical workloads. The question is how well it is secured. Drawing on our experience designing and hardening production clusters, our engineers break down the core layers of Kubernetes security in a clear two part series so your team can tighten access, pods, networks and data with confidence. Read the series, share it with your team, and contact Klika Tech when you are ready to strengthen your Kubernetes security strategy. read the articles here: Kubernetes blog Part 1: https://lnkd.in/ekJm4e4C Kubernetes blog Part 2: https://lnkd.in/efyBuYK8 #KubernetesSecurity #DevSecOps #CloudNative

This month an Oracle misconfiguration leaves @moonwel With $1.78M in bad debt. This came from Moonwell executing governance proposal MIP-X43, enabling Chainlink OEV wrapper contracts across Base and Optimism and one oracle was misconfigured. As a result, this gave cbETH a 99.9% discount (from $2,200 to $1). Liquidation bots had a field day allowing them to take full collateral positions (a total of 1,096.317 cbETH was taken) leaving the protocol holding the difference. This has created just under $1.8m in bad debt. Moonwell and Anthias Labs reacted with borrow and supply caps at 0.01 and blocking new deposits. But this isn’t the first oracle related incident. Ribbon Finance and Makina Finance losing a combined c$6.7m. Oracle misconfigurations are becoming one of the most expensive risks in DeFi. And a slight misconfig and the bots will fleece you. And as we see protocols and governance becoming more modular the risk isn’t just in the code. It’s the settings, parametres, connections, how updates are pushed live. This isn’t just about making sure everything is audited now, it’s how do you catch something that’s been configured wrong before its too late?
