Hudson Regional Health announced it may suspend **non-essential services** at Heights University Hospital in Jersey City unless it receives significant state funding. Despite over $300 million invested in just 10 months, ongoing financial challenges persist. The hospital system, which emerged after CarePoint’s bankruptcy, urges state support to ensure continued care for the community and maintain vital healthcare services. "In a statement Thursday, Community Health Care Association of NYS executive director Rose Duhan commended the governor for restoring the funding in the next fiscal year but said it “falls short of addressing the dire financial situation that (community health centers) are facing.” The group is calling for the funding to be increased to $300 million, half of which would come from the state."

#Education | New Jersey City University (NJCU) has announced the revamping of its Nursing Education Center (NEC), housed in a newly renovated state-of-the-art facility in Rossey Hall on the university’s main campus in #JerseyCity. By 2030, #NewJersey is projected to experience a shortage of 10,000 nurses across the state.
