LCI's approach is meant to re-focus the project team on being proactive, making things happen (instead of only being reactive), minimizing waste, maximizing value to the owner, remaining agile throughout the life of the project, optimizing team coordination, and opening up the decision making process via transparency. Similar to the design-build way of tackling design and construction projects, implementing lean practices no-doubt requires the full buy-in and active participation of the owner's project (and executive) team. It's been very powerful to see the owner and CM engage in a design/build project with a lean approach.
