The effect of addition of magnesium in micro hardness and thermal conductivity of aluminium alloys
Journal of Advanced Research in Dynamical and Control Systems
- 4 different samples of aluminum and magnesium alloys of varying compositions were created by casting technique.
- Microhardness test was done to determine the hardness of each specimen. Temperature distribution test was carried out to find out the thermal conductivity of each sample.

Investigation of toolpath parameters during slot milling on AISI D3 Steel

-The slot milling operations on AISI D3 Steel were carried out on 4 different toolpaths- namely trochoidal, quasi- trochoidal, zig, and zig-zag type toolpaths.
-The values of surface roughnesses (Ra, Rz, Rq), skewness, kurtosis, cutting forces (Fx, Fy, Fz), specific cutting energy, cycle time, tool nose radius deviation, chip morphology were all obtained.

Optimization of Process Parameters during Slot Milling on Magnesium Alloy- AZ31 using Artificial Neural Networks

-Face Milling of AZ31 Magnesium alloy was carried out and successfully optimized for surface roughness and tool nose radius deviation.
-ANN was used to develop a predictive model and a genetic algorithm was used to optimize the input parameters, which were namely cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. The most influencing input parameter was also found via ANN.

-Prepared 4 samples of aluminium hybrid composites consisting of aluminium, flyash and graphene with varying compositions of graphene and aluminium in each sample.
-Powder metallurgy technique was done to prepare these samples.
