Federal research funds are distributed based on the incidence of a given disease. Even though brain cancer is one of the deadliest forms of cancer, it is just two percent of all cancer deaths each year. Therefore, federal funding is small. It is actually classified as an “orphan disease” – a term that sums up its place in the eyes of federal funding agents. It is actually classified as an “orphan disease” – a term that sums up its place in the eyes of federal funding agents. Private donations allow research centers to perform research and develop new treatments that otherwise simply would never happen. This is why we feel so strongly about raising money for brain cancer research.

All of the net proceeds raised through our Beat Brain Cancer Fundraising Events go to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University in North Carolina who is a leader in brain cancer research and development. - www.cancer.duke.edu/btc/

The Teen’s Guide to Building Wealth is a fun, practical 10-day blueprint that teaches teens how money works, how to build strong habits early, and how to set themselves up for lifelong financial confidence. No jargon. No boring lectures. Just simple steps, real examples, and activities they can use right away.

Over ten engaging days, teens learn how to manage, save, spend, invest, and grow their money—whether they earn an allowance, work a part-time job, or hustle on the side. The earlier they start, the stronger their financial future becomes.

Inside, teens will learn how to:
    • Track where their money comes from and where it goes
    • Build a simple, realistic budget
    • Save automatically using “pay yourself first”
    • Start investing early and harness compound growth
    • Set goals like buying a car or saving for college
    • Turn hobbies and skills into income
    • Spend wisely without feeling restricted
    • Build lifelong financial habits
    • Borrow responsibly and avoid debt traps

Teens follow the stories of Mack and Eric—one who starts early and one who waits—showing how small choices lead to big differences over time.

Each chapter includes an activity, examples, and step-by-step exercises so teens can apply what they learn immediately.

Perfect for teens ages 12–19, parents who want financially confident kids, schools, youth programs, and milestone gifts.

Why it matters: Teens face constant spending temptations but rarely receive real financial education. Starting early gives them something adults can’t regain—time. Time for money to grow, for habits to stick, and for mistakes to be avoided.

Financial freedom doesn’t start at 30. It starts now.

Give them the roadmap—and watch their future grow.
