Brilliant piece by Will Larson - https://lnkd.in/gkyRE-Q8 I find myself frequently describing LLMs as just another component in our toolkit, and agents as just standard software wrapped around API calls to LLMs that may or may not have access to “tools” - yup, more standard software. Of course, as this is all just software, you can combine it to your heart’s content, creating larger software systems including ones with an agent as the main orchestrator. The compounding non-determinism of systems like these will either feel like magic or a nightmare. Once you see it that way, it’s much easier to reason about.

IBM's making its most significant infrastructure acquisition since Red Hat, paying $11B for Confluent, solidifying a portfolio of 3 foundational open-source technologies in the process. Setting up multi-account AWS infrastructure with Terraform & Terragrunt doesn’t have to be messy. Key best practices from this blueprint: Keep Platform Infra & Application Infra separated so the platform team handles shared services (IAM, networking, DNS etc.) and app teams only own what they truly need. Use one single Terragrunt configuration file per environment, avoiding scattered value/config files. Makes environments easier to manage. Leverage AWS SSO / Identity Center + assume-role architecture so you avoid long-lived credentials. Improves both security and manageability. This kind of structure boosts clarity, governance, and speed; helping teams go from experimenting to safely scaling across multiple accounts. #IaC #AWS #Terragrunt #Terraform #MultiAccount #CloudGovernance #PlatformEngineering
