Small changes in business process frameworks, eligibility rules, or security can significantly impact user experience and downstream processes. Standardize before customizing. Using delivered Workday functionality first reduces maintenance effort and makes quarterly releases smoother. Security and auditability are critical. Always validate who can view or update data—especially for payroll, compensation, and benefits. Data loads and integrations need validation. EIBs and integrations should always be tested with edge cases to avoid payroll or reporting issues. Understand the business process, not just Workday. Workday Tip: Fixing Compensation Grade Profile Link in EIB Uploads When using Put Compensation Grade EIB in Workday, you might notice that the Compensation Grade Profile doesn’t automatically link to the Compensation Grade. 📌 Here's how to make sure it links correctly: Set the Effective Date of the Compensation Grade Profile to 01/01/1900 in your EIB. After uploading, go to Maintain Compensation Grade Profile in Workday.
